Mark M. Allard, MD

Mark M. Allard, MD Mark M. Allard, MD is originally from Rogers, Arkansas. Dr. Allard attended the University of North Carolina where he earned his undergraduate degree and earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He joined Ozark Orthopaedics in 1996 and practices in Siloam Springs. His special interests include total joint replacement, fractures and sports medicine.

 

R. Bryan Benafield, Jr., MD

Dr. R. Bryan Benafield, Jr., MDR. Bryan Benafield, Jr., MD was born in Conway, Arkansas. Dr. Benafield attended Hendrix College where he earned his undergraduate degree and attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. His internship and residency were completed at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at California Pacific Hospital in San Francisco, California. He joined the clinic in 2000 and practices at the Fayetteville clinic. His special interests include hand and upper extremity surgery, trauma and fracture surgery and sports medicine.

 

Matthew J. Coker, MD

Matthew J. Coker, MDMatt Coker, MD was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He received an undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His residency in Orthopaedic Surgery was also completed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Coker joined the clinic in 2004 with an interest in General Orthopaedics, Trauma Surgery, and Total Joint Replacements.

 

Tom Patrick Coker, MD

Tom Patrick Coker, MDTom Patrick Coker, MD was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Coker attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he earned his undergraduate degree and earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Coker served his orthopaedic residency at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He joined the clinic in 1989 and practices in Fayetteville. His special interests include trauma, total joints and sports medicine.

 

Scott S. Cooper, MD

Scott S. Cooper, MDScott S. Cooper, MD was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, and grew up in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Dr. Cooper attended Southern Methodist University in Texas where he earned his undergraduate degree and earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. His internship and residency were completed at the University of Tennessee/Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. He joined the clinic in 1996 and practices in Rogers. His special interests include general orthopaedics, sports medicine, and foot and ankle surgery.

 

W. Cody Grammer, MD

W. Cody Grammer, MDW. Cody Grammer, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon in practice with Ozark Orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Prior to joining Ozark Orthopaedics, Dr. Grammer practiced general orthopaedic surgery in Batesville, Ark. He had previously worked as a physician champion in the White River Medical Center’s joint replacement center and geriatric fracture program. Dr. Grammer also had a distinguished career in the U.S. Marine Corp after earning his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy. During his service as a helicopter pilot, he was awarded two Humanitarian Service Medals for earthquake and hurricane relief operations. Dr. Grammer has co-authored publications on topics ranging from trampoline fractures in children to injuries involving the collateral ligaments of the hand. He has given presentations on the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications for osteoarthritis of the hand, knee joint replacement and arthritis, long bone fractures, and hip fractures. He also is experienced in treating trauma cases, sports injuries, pediatric conditions, and hand injuries. Dr. Grammer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association, Arkansas Medical Association and Alpha Omega Alpha.

 

Michael A. Griffey, MD

Michael A. Griffey, MDMichael A. Griffey, MD is a Fayetteville, Arkansas, native. Dr. Griffey received his undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Arkansas, and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. Dr. Griffey completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and also completed a Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts. He joined the clinic in 2004 and practices in Rogers. Dr. Griffey specializes in pediatric orthopaedics in addition to a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions & sports injuries.

 

C. Kris Hanby, MD

C. Kris Hanby, MDC. Kris Hanby, MD was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Springdale, Arkansas. Dr. Hanby received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His residency was completed at the University of Oklahoma. He completed a fellowship at the University of Utah in knee and hip reconstruction. He joined the clinic in 2005 and practices in Fayetteville and Eureka Springs. His special interests include knee and hip surgery and general orthopaedic surgery.

 

Andrew D. Heinzelmann, MD

Andrew D. Heinzelmann, MDAndrew Heinzelmann, MD was born in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Heinzelmann attended Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology and a graduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Arkansas. He completed medical school and his Orthopaedic residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He joined Ozark Orthopaedics in 2008 and has special interests in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee as well as reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, trauma surgery and sports medicine.

 

C. Noel Henley, MD

C. Noel Henley, MDNoel Henley, MD was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in chemical engineering and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. After completing his training in orthopaedic surgery at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Dr. Henley stayed on to complete an additional year of fellowship training in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery at the Indiana Hand Center.

Excited to return to his hometown, Dr. Henley joined Ozark Orthopaedics in 2007 and practices in Fayetteville. He enjoys combining his knowledge of physics and anatomy to help educate patients on their orthopaedic problems and potential solutions. As an upper extremity specialist, he particularly enjoys the variety in his specialty as he treats patients of all ages with a wide range of problems. His clinical and surgical interests include comprehensive surgery of the upper extremity (fingertips to shoulder), microsurgical reconstruction, trauma, arthritis, nerve compression, on-the-job injuries, sports-related injuries, and pediatrics.

Dr. Henley is married to his high school sweetheart, Marissa Brewer, and together they are raising two sons and a daughter. In his leisure time he enjoys reading, hiking, camping, and spending time with his family.

Jeff W. Johnson, MD

Jeff W. Johnson, MDJeff W. Johnson, M.D. an orthopaedic surgeon, has completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery with the Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University. He earned his medical degree and residency certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery while at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. A member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary, he was named the Resident Teacher of the Year in 2008. An author of several journal articles and book publications, his research includes an anatomic analysis of the shoulder for computer assisted surgery as well as the association between wrist trauma and carpal tunnel syndrome. He has presented his work internationally, as well as here in the States. He volunteers as an adjunct assistant clinical professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAMS and plans to continue his research in addition to his clinical practice. A native of Fayetteville, Dr. Johnson is excited to return to his hometown to practice innovative surgery of the hand and upper extremity.

 

R. Jacob Kaler, MD

R. Jacob Kaler, MDDR. Jacob Kaler, MD was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Kaler attended the Texas Christian University where he earned his undergraduate degree and attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. His internship and residency were completed at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. He joined the clinic in 2003 and practices at the Rogers Clinic. His special interests include orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine.

 

Carl M. Kendrick, MD

Carl M. Kendrick, MDCarl M. Kendrick, MD was born in Lowell, Arkansas. He served in the United States Navy prior to his medical education. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Arkansas and completed his medical education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed his internship and surgery and orthopaedic residencies in Wichita, Kansas, at the St. Francis Hospital. He joined the clinic in 1968 and practiced in Fayetteville until 1975 when he opened the Rogers clinic. The Rogers clinic moved to its present location at the corner of 37th and Highway 71 in 1981. Dr. Kendrick's special interest includes conservative spine care.

 

John D. Mertz, MD

John D. Mertz, MD John D. Mertz, MD has been associated with Ozark Orthopaedics in Rogers since 1990. He is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon using his considerable skills and training to improve the lives of patients by treating the whole person. His special interests include knee and hip replacements, knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff shoulder repairs, carpal tunnel releases and general orthopaedic surgery.

A native of Corsicana, Texas, Dr. Mertz was inspired to become a physician by his father and his father’s partner, who were physicians. He studied medicine at the University of Bordeaux Medical School in Bordeaux, France and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he earned his medical degree. He completed an internship, as well as an orthopaedic residency, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and practiced in Texas and Oklahoma before moving to Arkansas.

Dr. Mertz and his wife, Andrea, have three daughters, Hannah, Bonnie and Lily. He is active in his church and supports the Children’s Advocacy Center, as well as the Restoration Village in Little Rock.

 

John P. Park, MD

John P. Park, MDJohn P. Park, MD was born in La Junta, Colorado. His undergraduate and medical degrees were from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Park did his internship and surgery residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. His orthopaedic residency was at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and he completed a sports medicine fellowship in Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Park joined the Fayetteville clinic in 1978 and specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulders and knees and sports medicine.

 

Jason Pleimann, MD

Jason Pleimann, MDJason Pleimann, MD was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Pleimann attended the University of Kansas where he earned his undergraduate degree and attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas. His internship and residency was completed at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He completed his foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Miller Orthopaedic Clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina. He joined Ozark Orthopaedics in 2002 and practices at the Fayetteville clinic. His special interests include arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, trauma, and fracture surgery and sports medicine.

 

Gannon B. Randolph, MD

Gannon B. Randolph, MD Gannon B. Randolph, M.D., graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon. He graduated magna cum laude from the Oregon Health Science University School of Medicine. His Orthopaedic training was completed at University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City. He completed fellowship training, in Comprehensive Spinal Surgery, at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Randolph has earned a number of academic honors including the Alpha Omega Alpha Chapter President at OHSU. He recently returned from a combat tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corp. He has written papers and given presentations on topics including image guidance for spinal surgery, techniques for cervical surgery, and complications of adult and pediatric spinal surgery. Dr. Randolph is board certified in orthopedic surgery and provides comprehensive care of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal disorders at the Ozark Orthopaedics clinic in Rogers. His special interests are complex cervical surgery, oncology, surgery to treat spine degeneration and arthritis, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and peripheral neurological surgery.
